Check Your Colon

For the past 6 years I have been doing the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K. It supports awareness for Colon Cancer. Since my godmother had Colon and is now a survivor it is close to my heart. So I am happy every year to go out and walk with my godmother and family, rain, snow, cold and all. I was told that this Get Your Rear in Gear was the biggest one in the United States, with somewhere around 4,000 participants this year. It was a very cold morning so I actually ended up walking with a blanket wrapped around me like superman haha. But even though I probably looked funny it didn't scare Jordan away :) haha.  

Caribou was luckily one of the sponsors so they had free coffee there to warm us up. Yum.

Adventures Around The City.

Jordan came down to visit me in Bloomington this weekend. So yesterday him and I made my grandparents dinner and watched Life of Pi. I must say Jordan and I are becoming some good cooks. I like learning about history so today we decided to go to the James J. Hill house in St. Paul. It was on Summit Avenue and it was so beautiful. If you ever are in St. Paul with nothing to do I would go check out the house and take the tour. We also stopped by Normandale Lake afterwards to walk around the lake on this nice day. It was actually starting to feel like spring today even though there was snow on the ground. Overall we had a wonderful day exploring new places.

Exciting Things Are Coming...

Even though it doesn't feel like summer is ever going to be here it will be coming and I am getting excited for some major things that will be happening. First I have never been to a concert so Jordan and I have decided that we are going to go to Basilica Block Party. We just found out what the line up is going to be yesterday! There are some of favorites that are coming for example Matchbox Twenty, Goo Goo Dolls, Matt Nathanson, and many more :)

The next exciting thing happening that same exact weekend is the Color Run. I have been wanting to do this run for awhile now and finally I got a team of some of my good friends from High School together to do it with me :) I'm so excited to get all colored up haha. 

I hope all of you are getting excited for summer. Jordan's sister and sister-in-law are also pregnant so I am pretty excited about meeting their new little ones and making some cute baby headbands. I will also be going to a few weddings this summer for some friends and also my aunt. It is sure turning out to be one exciting busy summer.
