Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend has always meant that summer is coming to an end and fall is just around the corner. Well I have already been back in school for a week, it is going good, but it was nice to have one last long weekend at the cabin. I have had a wonderful summer and I am really looking forward to fall I love the fall weather and it means we are closer to winter (My favorite season :) ). Today actually started feeling like fall too and that just made me want to go get a pumpkin spice latte. Back to this weekend though, Jordan and I headed up to the cabin and spend the weekend with his parents and the Zimmer's. It was a nice relaxing weekend we had some nice warm days on the lake. We also got some major Settlers playing time in. I didn't get my chance at victory this weekend, but I was close a few times. My game has improved since I first started playing Settlers. Today since it was a little cooler today we went over to Itasca State Park to see the start of the Mississippi River and do some hiking. It was the perfect weather to do it. It was such a nice last weekend of summer. I am so glad I have such wonderful people in my life. Here are some pictures :)

I thought this weekend was a perfect cabin weekend spend with good company. I hope you enjoyed looking at all of cute little Marlowe June's faces in the pictures. :)

Last Days of Summer.

Well the day after Jordan and I get back from vacation with my family we decided to go to the Minnesota State Fair. You know we thought we didn't eat enough yummy fattening food on vacation... (Sarcasm). But I love the fair so the fact the Jordan even brought it up as something to do I had to jump on the idea. I was surprised he even suggested it. So the day started off HOT very very HOT. So needless to say Jordan and I only lasted about 2 hours at the fair. We got to eat all the food we wanted and see all the animals so we figured we were good. After the fair we headed over to Jordan's brother and sister-in-law's house. We got to see little Ernie and Elsie :) It was nice to catch up with them since we hadn't seen them since before vacation. Ernie is talking up a storm and Elsie just sleeps and makes cute sounds. Then after their house Jordan and I headed to Granite City to meet his parents for dinner and so I could send Jordan home with them while I went back to my grandparents house. This was my last day of summer and I have been dreading this day all summer because that meant having to leave Jordan again and be back in our long distance relationship. I have to say it does not get any easy the longer we have been together. The one thing I know is that it makes us stronger as a couple and I know when I get through my busy school week I usually get to see him on most weekends. I am just excited for the day that he is done with school and we no longer have to say "See you later". Ok enough of my sappiness here are some pictures from the day :)
