Oh happy day

Today a year ago the most amazing man asked me if I would marry him... and of course I said YES! This past year of planning has been so much fun, and as cliche as it might sound this past year since Jordan has asked me has flown by. I am so looking forward to marrying Jordan in 48 days. Ah I am just so happy, I don't think I have stopped smiling for this past year :).

Here is the first picture I took with my fiancĂ© :).

Today Jordan and I spend the day at the Vikings game. I have only ever been to a game when I was a little baby so I have never been to a game that I remember. It was so much fun.

We got lucky after a cold week to have a semi-decent whether day. Also the Vikings won the game!

Bridal Shower Fun and 68 days

Well since this Fall has started I knew it would turn into a busy time since the wedding isn't far off and I was right. There has been so many random details of the wedding I didn't even think of, but good thing I have my awesome mom who is helping so much. If I didn't have her I would be lost with some of this planning. I just want to be married. Only about two more months. I am so excited for the wedding. When we got engaged almost a year ago it seemed so far out, and now it is just so close.

So since the wedding is so close the Bridal Shower's have started. My first shower was at my Grandma's house, hosted by my Aunt Laura and Cousin Erica (also one of my Bridesmaids). It was such a nice shower and it was nice to be together as a family. My Aunt was very creativity with her games we all played. I especially loved the one called "How well do you know Taylor and Jordan." She had multiple choice questions and she surprised me with having Jordan answer them all on video. It was so sweet :). I only got a few wrong... But thats because I over thought one of the questions. ;)

Yummy dessert!

I don't know what kind of face I'm making, but I love the aprons! Keep them coming!

I look really shocked in this picture haha. My sweet 99 year old Great-Grandma had made these aprons a few years ago and saved them. I love them, the three she made are so cute! Also I love that she made them and passed them down to me and in the future I can pass them down to my future kids. :)

The wonderful hosts!

Both my Grandmas!

My Aunt Joleen!

My Godmother and Bridget!

My mom and soon to be mother-in-law!

Soon to be sisters!! (Missing Britta!)

Wish I could have gotten pictures with everyone that was there. I am so grateful for everyone that came!

My next shower was with Jordan's side of the family the weekend after. It was also so nice to see a lot of the Aunts and cousins in his family. Jordan's side of the family is a lot bigger than mine so we don't get to see all of them a lot. Also I feel like I am still meeting new people every time we have get togethers. We played some fun games and had a yummy brunch. The little girls were all so cute and wanted to help me open presents. They were so cute! I didn't get many pictures from that shower, but here are a few.

I had so much fun at both showers! I just have one Bridal Shower left then my Bachelorette Party!! We have got the table decorations all done and most of the other decorations figured out. Just little details left to plan for the wedding! Only 68 days away! Good thing I have this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off so I can spend those three days writing "Thank You's" for the Bridal Showers and getting more of the little details all figured out. It will be here before we know it.

Alaskan Cruise (Port #3 Skagway & Port #4 Victoria, British Columbia)

Well after Juneau we went to Skagway, Alaska. Which was really pretty. Jordan and I decided to do our own excursion, so we chose the White Pass & Yukon Route historical train. It took us up in the mountains of Skagway and then a little bit into Fraser, British Columbia. It was so cool to go up into the mountains on the historical train to see where the people of the Klondike Gold Rush went. We also saw a mom moose and baby moose!

After the Port #3 Skagway we had a day at sea, and then we got to Port #4 Victoria, British Columbia. Victoria was so different than Alaska and it was different than most of Canada I have seen before. We weren't in Victoria for too long so we just walked around the city a little. Then after Victoria we woke up the next morning back in Seattle to go home. Which was a funny adventure trying to get home. We didn't rent a car or anything so we were just planning on spending the day at the airport because we had a late flight. Jordan though flew separate because he came out later so his flight was about two hours before ours. We also didn't realize that since my grandma had booked the flights a year ago the flight got delayed an hour... So we were going to be at the airport even longer haha. So my Dad and brother decided to change flights and take an earlier one so we could all figure out the ride situation when we got back to Minnesota. I have to admit I was a little jealous they didn't have to sit at the airport all day haha. But it all worked out and we all got home safe and sound. I didn't know for sure if we were going to with all the turbulence we experienced on the way back to Minnesota though. Apparently my Dad, brother, and even Jordan's flight all experienced some too that day. Here are some pictures from the last two ports!

The train!

Victoria, British Columbia

This was a bathroom we saw in Victoria haha.

Their capital building.

Back in Seattle!

I also forgot to mention, that as well as having to sit at the airport most of the day. We also had to wait until 6 hours before our flight to check our bags in. So we sat in the check in area of the airport for awhile. At least there was a coffee place :).

This vacation was so much fun! I would recommend it to anyone who like to see nature, hike, and see Alaska. I would also recommend it to anyone who wants to try a cruise and usually gets motion sickness because the boat stays in channels and close to shore a lot of the time so it isn't is bad as being in the open sea like a Caribbean cruise.

Top three things from the cruise:
1. The Bearing Sea Crab fishing excursion.
2. The shows on the cruise ship (especially the illusionist Jason Bishop)
3. The nature/scenery and the White Pass & Yukon train ride.

If you missed my other posts from the vacation you can click here for Seattle, here for Ketchikan/Port #1, and here for Port #2 Tracy Arm Fjords/Juneau. :)
