Well my first Thanksgiving cooking the whole meal was a success. All thanks to my wonderful fiancé and my Pioneer Woman Cooks: A Year of Holidays Cookbook. I would recommend the cookbook to anyone. The recipes all tasted amazing and I can't wait to try the rest of holiday recipes. Jordan and I started cooking on Wednesday and then all the way up to when we ate on Thursday (Thanksgiving Day. I thought it was so much fun. Next time I know what I can make ahead of time so I can prepare better next time, so we aren't rushing the day of. Actually the Pioneer Woman's cookbook had a list of stuff you could have made ahead of time but I got a late start haha. My family was very pleased with how the meal turned out. It was a nice day of giving thanks and being with family. My 98 year old Great-Grandma was even very impressed with my cooking and that means a lot to me.
I didn't get too many pictures of my cooking because I was busy cooking it haha, but Jordan and I had a mini photo shoot on the back porch to celebrate our first Thanksgiving being engaged. :) That reminds me we are 99.9% sure we found the venue for our reception woo! The big part of the planning is almost secured. I also just ordered all my wonderful bridesmaids their present :) This holiday season is just making me feel so thankful of the family and all the friends Jordan and I have to love and support us as we are enter this new stage in our lives.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
